2014 Petite Sirah - Dry Creek Valley, Estate Grown - Collier Falls

Winemaker Notes: This elegant Petite Sirah displays a dark purple color with aromas of blueberry and plum. On the palate the wine shows complex layers of dark fruit with hints of white pepper spice. Soft tannins and a touch of toasty oak create a wonderful mouth feel and a silky finish.

This wine reflects its hillside origins, showing a very deep red intense color. Its bouquet is more subtle, with hints of white pepper and violets and a background of black currant jam. On the palate, the wine is bright with lots of liquorice, cranberry and blackberry. 2010 Petite Sirah, Todd Bros Ranch, Alexandery Valley - Dashe Cellars
Entry shows lots of complex blackberry and black currant fruit, followed by spice, roasted herbs, chocolate, licorice, coffee, and licorice. Quite viscous mouthfeel and long, persistent finish of blackberry, chocolate, and coffee. Substantial tannins will age this wine for many years to come.
